Our History

As an energy entrepreneur, ARB founder Harry Halloran (1939-2021) began his investment career in renewable energy where he was a pioneering force in the US wind industry. Harry believed that innovation, persistence, passion, and experienced leadership are foundational pillars in business to drive the transition to a clean energy economy.

Beginning in the 1980’s, Harry built a sizable portfolio of early, mid- and late-stage investments in climate change driven sectors including renewable energy technologies and services, water technologies and services, waste to value, energy efficiency, biomass and biofuels, and sustainable food and agriculture.

Today, ARB manages a portfolio of direct company and venture partnership investments that are mitigating the effects of climate change, providing solutions for climate adaptation, and advancing sustainability and a just-transition to a cleaner and more equitable economy.
